Skimmer Monthly Release Roundup: What we launched in March 2026

March's releases are about removing the gaps — the moments where a pool pro has to leave Skimmer to get something done, call the office to move things forward, or work around a limitation that's been slowing them down. This month's updates close a lot of those gaps, from capturing leads automatically to closing jobs in the field to managing multiple locations without the friction.

Quoting just got a lot more mobile

There's a version of pool service software that makes techs more dependent on the office. And there's a version that makes them more capable in the field. Mobile quotes is firmly the second one.

Techs can now build a full quote from the Skimmer mobile app — while standing with the customer. Line items, photos, discounts, deposits, all of it. They can present the quote on-screen, get a signature right there, and send it — straight to the customer or through the office for review, depending on how the business has set things up. The whole workflow stays in Skimmer, nothing gets lost in a phone call, and revenue gets captured on the spot.

A better way to handle billing corrections

Every pool service business eventually has to issue a credit — an overcharge, a service issue, a missed visit, a goodwill gesture. Until now, doing that cleanly in Skimmer meant manual workarounds that never quite reconciled on the QuickBooks side.

Service credits fix that. They're formal credit memos, built right into Skimmer, with line items, tax calculations, reason categories, and automatic sync to QuickBooks. Credits apply to the customer's account balance and auto-apply to their next invoice. And they now show up in the customer statement report, so there's a complete billing picture in one place.

Capture new customers without lifting a finger

The new lead form gives pool service businesses a public-facing page on their Customer Portal where prospects can submit their contact and address info to request service. When someone fills it out, a Lead record is created in Skimmer automatically, an email notification goes to the admin, and the lead is ready to follow up on — no manual entry required.

It's a small thing to set up and a big thing for businesses that are still managing new inquiries through phone calls and emails.

One login for multiple locations

For pool service companies operating more than one Skimmer account — franchises, multi-market businesses, regional operators — managing users across locations has always required separate logins and separate admin work. Organization management changes that. Org admins can now grant team members access to multiple companies, set their role per location, and switch between accounts without logging out. It's the foundation for how Skimmer will support larger, multi-location businesses going forward.

New improvement to jobs

You can now create a job without needing an approved quote first, and the job listing page shows suspended and past due status next to customer names.

Smaller updates worth knowing about

A few other things shipped in March that are worth a quick mention.

  • Surcharging is now available immediately for eligible businesses — the previous 30-day waiting period is gone.
  • The customer activity feed now includes broadcast emails, jobs, work orders, route assignments, and service notes, with historical service notes backfilled so the full history is there.
  • Products now have a manufacturing ID field for better catalog management.
  • Enterprise customers on the public API can now update work orders programmatically.

Make sure your Skimmer mobile app is up to date to get the latest performance improvements.
