As pool businesses grow, the challenges change. Jobs get bigger, teams get larger, and keeping everyone aligned across the office and the field becomes harder. January’s updates focus on supporting that next stage of growth, with tools designed for collaboration, control, and clearer insight across your operations.

More flexible payments with consumer financing
Pros now have a new way to offer flexible payment options to customers. Financing helps reduce friction at checkout and makes it easier for customers to move forward on larger jobs, while keeping payments and billing managed directly within Skimmer.

Tools for bigger, more complex jobs
As pool businesses take on larger repairs and installs, jobs often require more coordination. Multi-tech work orders allow multiple technicians to work on the same job, so crews can collaborate without duplicating work or relying on workarounds.
At the same time, the work order experience has been redesigned from start to finish. Creating, editing, and completing work orders is now smoother, with clearer item tracking, visible prices and quantities, and the ability to add photos and instructions throughout the job. These improvements help teams stay accurate and organized from scheduling through completion.

More user control as teams grow
As operations scale, not everyone needs access to everything. Advanced roles and permissions give business owners more control over who can view and manage specific parts of Skimmer. This makes it easier to support larger office and field teams while keeping responsibilities clear and reducing risk.

A simpler way to access reporting
Reporting is now easier to access, with all reports available from a single Reports hub. Billing Reports have moved into this unified view, making it quicker to find what you need.
We also expanded the Installed Items Report with new filters for item, technician, customer, and service type, along with visual indicators that make installs easier to understand. These updates are especially useful for tracking installs and technician commissions.
Expanded integration capabilities
For teams using integrations or custom tools, the Public API now supports searching customers by phone number or email and creating work orders programmatically. These additions make it easier to build reliable workflows outside of Skimmer while keeping data accurate and up to date.
