Skimmer Monthly Release Roundup: What we launched in April 2026

April's releases are about reducing friction — the small and not-so-small things that pull pool pros away from the work that actually matters. This month, that means letting an AI agent handle routine customer calls, cleaning up the reporting experience so the right information is easier to find, and a handful of targeted improvements across the platform.

AI phone: routine calls, handled automatically

Most customer calls to a pool service business follow a pattern — appointment questions, service status, billing questions. They're routine, but they still require someone to answer. AI phone changes that. Calls can be forwarded to an embedded AI agent that uses your customer data and a configurable knowledge base to respond, around the clock, without your team needing to be available. It's not a replacement for real customer relationships — it's a way to handle the predictable volume so your team can focus on the calls that actually need them.

30-day free trial ends on June 1st for Skimmer paying customers, after that it’s $99/month.

Available on all plans.

A reporting experience that's easier to use

A handful of reporting updates shipped this month that are worth knowing about collectively.

  • The Service Credits Report is now accessible directly from the Reports page — no workarounds needed.
  • The AR Aging Summary now defaults to yesterday's date, so you're always looking at the most relevant snapshot when you open it.
  • The Income by Category report has been updated with consistent color coding, an Excel export option, and a cleaner empty state.
  • Voided payments now show up in the Payouts Report.
  • There's now a direct link to a customer's statement on their Customer Details page, eliminating an unnecessary navigation step.
  • The Reports menu has also been tidied up — old links removed, "New" labels cleared now that the updated reports are fully established.

Lead form: SMS consent and a faster toggle

Two small but useful updates to the customer web form. An SMS marketing consent checkbox has been added to the form so businesses can capture opt-ins at the point of signup — useful for anyone building out text-based communication with their customer base. And enabling or disabling the form now saves instantly when you flip the toggle, rather than requiring a full-page save.

Smaller updates worth knowing about

  • For enterprise customers on the public API: several new fields are now available on Product endpoints, including ManufacturerSku, HeritagePartNumber, MarkupType, and more. New endpoints allow you to search all work orders and pull all work order types via the API. Rate limiting documentation has also been added to the developer portal.
  • The customer export now includes the suspended customer flag, making it easier to identify customers with overdue invoices without running a separate report.

Make sure your Skimmer mobile app is up to date to get the latest performance improvements.
